Road Trip

I realized this morning that I haven't done a solo road trip in… like… forever. I travel for work once a year (that's coming up again, late next month…) but they fly me, so that's a bit different.

Gotta decide what to listen to. Probably lots of stuff that makes me think of you, lol. Or catch up on Conan Needs a Friend. Or likely a bit of both.

I like driving. I'm kinda looking forward to just me and the road for a few hours.

My brother tells me to expect to be bored, lol. Well. Taking my laptop this time. Even if I didn't, I worked out a way to write you whenever I want, from wherever I want, as long as I have access to a web browser. Which is an even better situation than I had before with my old phone.

I wonder if you know… I love solving these technical problems, lol. It's not like I look at it and I'm like “Ugh, now how am I going to do this?” No. When I realized I didn't have a way to write you from my new phone, I got excited. Except for the part where I knew I didn't have time to come up with something (good) before I took that last trip. It's a challenge I enjoy.

I wonder if you have anything like that? If you do, I wonder what it is?

I wonder so many things about you, my love. I can't imagine ever getting tired of learning about you, or about what's going on with you. My curiosity about you could never be sated.

Welp. Probably time to head out. I hope I get to see you soon. I mean… I know I will, and thank you so much for that. But sooner. I miss you, my love. Well, ok, I know… I'm the one who'll be gone, lol. Doesn't mean I won't be missing you!
