Speaking of your voice… I've been working on a song recently, and I've got to admit… it's 100% because I heard the voice of an angel singing along to it from the back seat of my car one fine evening a few months back… I hope you'll enjoy it when it's done. It's got some tricky bits, but it's pretty fun to play…

But, lol… I wonder sometimes how you feel about the whole “trying to be an amateur musician” thing. Heaven only knows why… you've said some very kind things to me about it. Well. I've been thinking… I hadn't been focusing very much since I stopped taking lessons, to my detriment. I should set goals for myself, give myself targets. And not just “I want to play this song for ⭐️, like one of the Kens playing Push for Barbie.” (except… you know… a song that isn't about emotional abuse and also hopefully you actually like me playing it for you, lol…) I mean, that's a goal that drives me pretty well, don't get me wrong! But, I dunno… I might try to follow along with some YouTube series or something. Ask myself… What would my old bass teacher have me do? We'll see. Anyhow…

Side note… I love going to concerts with you. Love love love love it. You are so much fun to see live music with. Thursday night can't come soon enough…

And, speaking of music… here's a new one (to me… lol, it's from 1975): Rufus & Chaka Khan's Sweet Thing. Second verse has a line or two that are… 🤷‍♂️ Rest assured, I don't think you're “shady” at all, lol. But the rest is spot on. Hope you like it!
