Last Night

Last night was lovely, as I knew it would be. Didn't get to talk to you anywhere near enough, but that's always the way. People would think we were rude if I spent as much time talking to you as I long to, even if we were together. Still, though, I had a wonderful time. I hope you did, too.

But do you want to know what my favorite memory of the night was? Such a small moment, and yet it is permanently etched in my mind. I had excused myself, and when I came back… I opened the door, and you looked up at me and smiled. And it was just about the sweetest smile I have ever seen.

You'd almost think you were happy to see me or something.

Gosh, I live for those smiles. For your regard.

You are magical, ⭐️. You fill my heart like nobody has ever done before. Fuller than I ever realized was possible. It's no wonder I love you.
