Happy Mother's Day, to the sweetest, kindest, most fun, most beautiful mother that I know. Your kids are so incredibly lucky to have you.

Is this weird to say? Do you know that, in those early days, back when we knew each other, but before we really started spending time together… Back when all I really knew about you was that you were the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and that every single one of our far-too-few conversations left me with an incredible warmth… Back when the only thing I could say with confidence about you was that you were a Doctor Who fan… Before I learned how much we have in common, how many of the same things we like to do, how similar our attitudes about life in general are…

Back then, one of the first parts of you that I let myself fall in love with, all those years ago… years before I would finally slip over the edge and fall for you completely… was the mother in you. I would watch how you doted over your children, and it would simply fill me with joy. Watching you tousle your son's hair, or the way you would talk to them…

You are such an incredible mother. And I love that about you, so very much.
