Thank You, Babe

Hey, babe.

I just wanted to thank you for opening up to me the other night… You didn't have to answer, or could have easily given me some kind of a blow-off. It would have been completely understood.

But you didn't. You opened up, and you told me what was on your mind.

And that means a lot. Gosh, it means the world to me.

I just hope the support I offered was enough. I could have followed-up on one or two of the things, and probably would have had we been talking face-to-face. But the over-thinker in my head was already a bit worried about overstepping… as I'm sure you gathered.

But I realized something, or at least finally figured out how to put it into words: This is how I can love you, right now. Being there for you when you need it. Hopefully letting you feel seen and understood. Earning the trust that you've shown me. Being your true friend.

Being your lover can come later, when we're able… and we'll have this incredible base of companionship to build from.

So, thank you, babe. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to love you. Thank you for just being you.
