Feeling a bit melancholic tonight, baby, not gonna lie. Not thinking about big things, but the little ones…

Things like chocolate and cherries… movies and what ifs…

The big things are important, and I think we'll have them in spades, but right now…

Right now, I just wanna take you out on a date like we're teenagers again… go see a movie, then grab a DQ Blizzard before heading over to the park… sit on some swings while looking at the moon and the stars and talking about whatever springs to mind, until the fuzz shows up to remind us the park closes at dark… take you home, walk you to your door, and give you a super awkward kiss before saying goodnight… then drive home to lie in bed awake, thinkin' about you all night…

Well. I've got that last one down, anyways.

Aw, babe… I see our future laid out before us, and it is magnificent. But, just… gotta get there. And we will. Until then, tho…
