Babe, just wanted to thank you for being there last night, for all of us. It's not lost on me how well you walk the line between being a supportive friend and not really being on the same page. I can only imagine you sensed the tension, and navigated it well, as you always seem to do. But of course, as I'm sure you can imagine, the tension didn't dissipate afterwards, but only grew as the evening went on… Well. I'm sure you're likely to hear more about it tonight. I dunno. I know you know it's a difficult spot that I'm in, because I know you face a lot of the same struggles. Well. I may not be as good with the advice as you are, but I hope you know I always got your back, just the way you always have mine. Takes a village, right?

But, man… she's not wrong about some of that stuff, except that thing about RuPaul's Drag Race. God, it's infuriating to have that keep coming up. It's been explained to her, countless times — by all three of us — why that's not only not relevant but actually hurtful to the kid… And yet. And yet.
