There have been times, over the years, where you’ve definitely been in the engine car. Maybe I wasn’t hitting the brakes, but I was definitely drifting — knowing exactly what I wanted, but having no earthly idea how to get it… then you’d show up with an invitation to a burlesque show or something…

But right now…

I'm in the engine car. Driving it the best I know how to do.

But, thing is… now that I see where this is headed…

I don't expect to ever lift up off of that gas pedal again.

(except maybe when I do an epic fuck up… though, babe… I do learn from my mistakes… the little ones might take a time or three, but the big ones? I mean… I am human, but… well. I learn my lesson, promise)

But there's gotta be someone in both cars, right? That crazy dance wouldn't work any other way. One to push forward, one providing a bit of trim here and there to make sure we don't go ramming right into the barrier wall…

Both learning to trust the chain between us not to break.
