I don't remember now, did I tell you the thing about my flights and how I complained first and took action later?

I really do need to get better about that.

Anyways. Just wanted to share a little story. You see, I was wondering why Gandalf didn't just leave The One Ring in the care of Tom Bombadil. The Ring had no effect on him, and he'd probably even do it, too, with enough convincing.

But then it occurred to me.

Of course.

When The Ring wants to be found…
It gets found.

So there is no hiding it.

Destroying it by tossing it into the fires of Mount Doom was the only viable, long term solution.

Anyhow. I was just thinking about that today, apropos of nothing.

And, yeah. I'd have been as over it as Millie Brady looked in Double Blind by that point, too.
